Hello Interwebs!
Today is the start of a rather exciting weekend readathon called Camp Weekend Ween, a weekend of all things spooky and Halloween with a camp theme to it. I completely forgot about it until earlier this week so this is going up the first day of the readathon instead of in advance so apologies. Camp Weekend Ween is a Halloween readathon that is taking place from October 29th to October 31st and is hosted by gabbyreads and oliviareadsalatte over on YouTube. It has four prompts to guide the reading and is just a fun little readathon. So the prompts are:
- Read a Book with a Green Cover
- Read a Book with a Group of Teens as the Main Characters
- Read a Slasher, Horror, or Thriller Book
- Read a Book with a Camp Setting
So I'm going to be reading short books for this as well as fitting in some manga as well. My TBR for Camp Weekend Ween includes:
- The Tent by Kealan Patrick Burke: a book with a camp setting
- Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge: a book with a green cover
- The Night of the Mannequins by Stephen Graham Jones: a book with a group of teens as the main characters
- Nothing but Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw: a slasher, horror, or thriller book
All four of these books fall into the horror genre so that will cover all of my prompts. I'm very excited to spend my weekend reading some spooky books, especially Dark Harvest which gives me serious Halloween vibes with the cover.
