Hello Everyone!
I see my readership is solidly at seven people, so thank you whoever you are reading my silly little book blog. So despite the fact that I am still waiting for March's Page Habit box, I will be posting my March wrap-up. When the box comes in I'll post the unboxing and I'll update the information in this post as well. And without further ado here's my March wrap-up.

So I did acquire quite a few books this month: two
(three) from boxes and five that I bought.
So here's the seven
(eight) books I added to my collection in the Month of March. They're mostly in the order I got them so we'll go with that. First up, after finishing A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas I bought the second and third books in the series from
Powell's Books @ Cedar Hills Crossing:
A Court of Mist and Fury and
A Court of Wings and Ruin. I've since finished the second one and am about a third of the way into the third in preparation for the fourth book coming out in May. This might be one of my favorite series I've started in a long time. Next up is the book from March's OwlCrate:
Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston. I really think this book sounds interesting, it's kind of a spacey/sci-fi retelling of Anastasia which all seems right up my alley. Plus this edition is absolutely gorgeous with it's purple edged pages and it's signed by the author which is always a bonus. Also from a book box I received
Ink, Iron, and Glass by Gwendolyn Clare from March's Uppercase box. It also sounds interesting. It's got a steampunk vibe to it and is about a girl who can shape reality using her pen. I'm excited to read it too. Next are the three books I got at the end of the month from
Amazon Books at one of our local malls. It's a very cool store as it sells books based on Amazon customer recommendations, plus they also have all the Amazon devices there in store so you can try them out. I always spend way too much time in this store whenever I go to the mall. First up I got
Cinder by Marissa Meyer which is book 1 of The Lunar Chronicles, which I've heard a lot about on booktube and decided to give the series a try. It's a futuristic, sci-fi retelling of classic fairytales. This one is obviously Cinderella but where Cinderella is a cyborg, which is kind of awesome. A lot of people really really like the series so I'm going to give it a try. Next is
This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab. I know this book was included in at least one YA book box when it first came out and it sounds very intriguing. It's about a boy who's a monster who can steal souls with his music but wants to be human and a girl who is human but wants to be ruthless like her father in a society that is split between the two. It's the first of a duology and I think the second one just came out so we'll see how I enjoy this one. Finally, the last book I got in March was
Illuminae, the first book in The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I mostly picked this up because it's the inspiration for the candle I received in my March OwlCrate and the format of it is really interesting. The story's told as if it is a dossier of hacked documents like interviews, medical records, emails, military files, etc. It's very interesting looking and it's the first of a trilogy, the third of which was recently released. So that's it for the book haul for March. All of these books are also on my TBR for April.
After posting this I received my March PageHabit box which even though it didn't come until April I'm counting it in March since it's the March box. The March PageHabit book was The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo. It's about a girl who starts writing poetry and joins a Slam Poetry club at her high school in order to express herself even though she feels like she has no voice in her real life. It sounds good and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Next, the books I finished in March:
I finished five books in the month of March, which was what I had set as my goal. Four of the five books were on my TBR list in April, the only one that deviated was A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas which I picked up to read immediately upon finishing A Court of Thorns and Roses. So here's my books from March along with the ratings I gave them on
goodreads (by the way, The Hazel Wood isn't featured in the finished stack because I've loaned it out and haven't received it back yet).
To be honest I probably could've fit in another book but the second half of March was occupied with my brother's wedding on the 31st so I was lucky to finish the last one before the end of the month. None of the books I read were bad, but S: Es was very clearly my least favorite and I am very much enjoying the ACOTAR series.
Finally we have April's to be read (TBR) pile.
Which is pretty much the same as my March acquisitions pile only without A Court of Mist and Fury which I've already finished. Like in March, my goal is to finish 5 books during April, there's six in my pile at the moment. I may add other books in there, especially depending on what comes in my Page Habit box or catches my eye in the meantime. After receiving my PageHabit box I have decided to add the book it contained to my April TBR pile so also included in this list is The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo.
So to sum up: I acquired seven (eight) books, finished five, and have six (seven) on my TBR for April. I am currently sitting at eight books finished out of fifty for my goodreads reading challenge for 2018, which puts me still behind but less behind than I was before.
